The world of online e-commerce has taken a major step forward with the launch of the world's first free online store building and integration service by Jumbomall.com Corporation Limited (Jumbomall).

Jumbomall has launched the free service at the annual Comdex trade show in Las Vegas, the largest of its kind in the world.

Merchants receive a free package comprising six main components:

* JumboStore: An online store builder
* JumboBasket: A shopping basket with the ability to be added to the merchant's own web site and to handle multiple merchants
* JumboPay: A secure online payments system
* JumboVan: A delivery and storage service
* JumboDollars: Advantages of the Jumbomall loyalty program
* JumboMall: Exposure to shoppers in the worlds biggest online shopping mall

Jumbomall is relying on an upgraded business model for its revenue, where merchants purchase additional products once their stores are trading successfully.

The chief executive officer of Jumbomall, Mr Mike Veverka, said the launch of the free service signified the competitive heights reached by the e-commerce sector.

"It is like giving out free movie tickets and making money out of the drinks and popcorn," Mr Veverka said.

Mr Veverka said the launch of the free service was an aggressive move which could be expected to rapidly increase the size of Jumbomall, which in turn provided buying power for advanced e-commerce services.

Comdex is the logical venue to launch the new services as it is the largest trade show of its kind in the world and presented an unrivalled opportunity to meet prospective new business partners.

Mr Veverka said the Las Vegas Comdex alone attracted more than 200,000 visitors, predominantly people involved in the information technology sector or people whose job it was to be aware of the latest developments in the industry.

"An added attraction is that this year is the 20th anniversary of Comdex, coinciding with the turn of the century and the explosion in the growth of e-commerce," Mr Veverka said.

Jumbomall is currently one of the world's largest online shopping malls, with over 3000 stores from 50 countries. The company has offices in San Jose USA, Australia and Germany.
